High-quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of an antique map of Asia and the Middle East by Blaeu from 1635. With views of cities at the top and depictions of dress in different areas on the sides. Animals roam the land and the oceans are filled with ships and creatures. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand colored. Approx. 17 x 23 inches to the border.
